Name of the Song
editWill "Ode to the Motherland" be a better translation? Baojie (talk) 19:01, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Irrelavent mention of its performance during Beijing olympics
editThe performance at the opening ceremony is simply not important enough, compared to the long history of the song. There must be thousands of nation wide broadcasts before this one. I don't see why this event deserve a dedicated section in this discriptive article, since it's already discussed here. Helloterran (talk) 06:56, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Copyright Problem
editSorry for my poor English. The author of lyric of this song (王莘) had just dead on 15 October, 2007. According to the law of China, the lyric becomes Public Domain (PD) 50 year after the author dies. Thus, the lyric still have copyright and we should delete all the lyrics on Wikipedia. The Chinese version have just deleted all the lyrics. I want someone who edit English version of Wikipedia to delete all the lyrics and someone who knows Japanese: go to the Japanese version of Wikipedia and tell the editor(s) of ja.wikipedia to delete all the lyrics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yingwai0708 (talk • contribs) 12:16, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
well... is this song's licence disallowing it? The fact that it's been reproduced many, many times is evidence that it's not.174.117.233.162 (talk) 01:08, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
"Who dares invade us..."
editI've heard several versions of "Ode to the Motherland," and they seem to have omitted the "谁敢侵犯我们就叫他死亡!" part. Should this still be considered part of the song? ROLLERSOX 02:05, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
