Ohafia

Ohafia is three clans that make up Ohafia LGA, Ohafia LGA was caved out form the previous Arochukwu/Ohafia LGA. EBEM OHAFIA is the Headquarters of Ohafia L. G. A.

Today the major Road in Ohafia is the Prof Eni Njoku Road that cross from Amaekpu Ohafia to Elu Ohafia down to Ebem Ohafia, Akanu and Ndia Uduma.

The Major source of drinking Water is Murri River which is located at Ebem Ohafia (The Sit of Power in the LGA) Murri river is located along Ebem Ohafia and Ozu Abam.

Ebem is among the 26 villages that make up Ohafia -Ofuru-Ise or Mben and the where most of the current issues of development always starts from to other parts of Ohafia becuase of its central Power.

The Biggest problem in Ohafia Today is Lack of Electricity, which has led to the decline in business life. The Economy of Ohafia is currently being controlled by outsiders as most of the Ohafia sons and daughters are practicing their occupation / trade in other towns and cities.

The most developed communities are Amaekpu,Ebem, Elu, Asaga, Akanu and Okon.

Ohafia has primary and secondary schools but no Tertiarry Institution yet in the entire community.

Hotels: Ikenga Plaza, Hotel Foundation, Ohafi Guest House, Golden Hotel.

Computer /Cyber Cafe outfits are : ECOFWE, VISIONS, ONEL ETC.

Can we all stop this nonsense about Ibos being descendants of Isrealites or a lost hebrew tribe. This does us no service as a proud patriotic people. Open your eyes people. We are of west african negro/bantu stock. A distinct racial group and have no relationship genetically culturally or otherwise with the people of the middle east period.
