I think that the Oka cheese hasn't been made by the monks for quite a while. Agropur built a plant at the Abbaye and are making the cheese (under license?).

The version of the history presented here is dubious - the Mohawk were based in upstate New York, not around Montreal (although they did use the Montreal region as a hunting ground). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.94.0.11 (talk) 23:22, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
