Okanogan Country/Okanagan Country

edit
It drains a scenic plateau region called the Okanogan Country east of the Cascade Range and north and west of the Columbia, and also the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia - which is also known as the Okanagan Country, but more usually as "the Okanagan".

Well, yes, it's Interior Plateau I guess, whatever the landform is called around there, i.e. stateside, I guess Columbia Plateau; a lot of Okanogan County is Okanagan Highland, though - in fact that term was coined by a Washington geographer, cited by Holland, who extended the application into BC (I use the 'a' spelling because most of it's in BC, same reason as this article has the 'o' spelling, most of it's in WA). I added the paranthetical bit about Okanagan Country/Okanagan - I hadn't realized Americans also used the "Country" appellation, over "County" which seems much more typically American...works for me...ask any Siylx, they'll tell you the Okanagan Country has been partitioned.... ;-). Some of the county includes some of the Okanagan Range and also the sliver of Thompson Plateau between the Similkameen and Okanogan River....Skookum1 (talk) 06:30, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
