The article has been protected almost continuously since November 2017 because of attempts to add the Shane and Ryan claim to the article. When the latest protection (nine months) ended today, within hours there had been five more attempts to add the claim. As a result the article is now indefinitely protected.
We've had something like 60 attempts to add it to the article, and at least 16 protected edit requests. Please don't bother asking again. Meters (talk) 21:58, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm a bit confused why the "Shane's Bridge" claim is invalid. I live in the area and if you're talking about the bridge you're as likely to have someone refer to it as Alton bridge as you are Shane's Bridge. Even more so among younger people. Bigblagow (talk) 00:00, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
We don't take editors' claimed personal knowledge as reliable sources. Read the threads about the name issue in the archive, and give us your reliable published sources. Meters (talk) 01:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
