St Boniface
editI think it's pretty preposterous to claim the great catholic medieval saint St Boniface as a mamber of this heretic sect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wefa (talk • contribs) 17:11, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
Saints and Popes member of this Schismatic Sect?
editNo popes, far less Saints, were members of the schismatic and heretical sect which denies Papal Infallibility. All the Popes and Saints mentioned believed in it.
I removed the list with "famous members" as it was made up and was nonsense. Medieval Roman Catholics were no members of this separated community, as it did not exist yet back then. Only the Roman Catholic See of Utrecht existed. Like now. The Old Catholic See of Utrecht can't claim it was the original Roman Catholic See. Two beliefs two Sees.
Lists of bishops

I think that this article, as well as the related articles found in the relevant discussion box above, can be improved by:
- moving all the lists of Old Catholic archbishops into either Old Catholic Archdiocese of Utrecht or a separate List of Old Catholic archbishops of Utrecht, as is done in the corresponding article in the Dutch Wikipedia
Please comment in Talk:Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Utrecht#Lists of bishops to centralize the discussion. –BoBoMisiu (talk) 20:17, 8 July 2014 (UTC); modified 20:23, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Discussion at Talk:Catholic Church and ecumenism#Diocese of Utrecht in 1703
editYou are invited to join the discussion at Talk:Catholic Church and ecumenism#Diocese of Utrecht in 1703. The historic Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Utrecht (695–1580) was canonically suppressed during the Protestant Reformation because of persecution. After it was suppressed, its territory became part of a missionary administrative structure in the Low Countries, the Vicariate Apostolic of Batavia, erected in 1592. There was no "Diocese of Utrecht" that left the Catholic Church after 1703. Thanks. BoBoMisiu (talk) 15:54, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
