Yay, it's been designated NHL
editDaniel Case reports it's been designated a NHL. Okay, do let's develop this article either here where it is, or move it into mainspace, and put it up for DYK. doncram (talk) 23:28, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
article name
editShould the article name be "First Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Kingston". I think that's the name on the nomination form, hmm, yes, that's the first, main name given. Alternate names given in the form are "Dutch Reformed Church" and "Old Dutch Church". The first name is unambiguous, so i like it. doncram (talk) 23:28, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- As far as the article title goes, we should worry more about what the most common name is for the church, not necessarily what the NRHP calls it, though whatever the main name the NRHP gives should be in the infobox. Murderbike (talk) 00:08, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
NRHP and NHL designation dates
editDaniel entered it into the List of NHLs in NY list with designation date Oct 10, I think. But i don't see where those are sourced, i don't see it in new listings yet, and the local newspaper article does not identify the date, i think. Where is a source for the date, to put into this article? doncram (talk) 02:43, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I just used the date before the article. I get the feeling the NPS let Maurice Hinchey's office announce it, perhaps prior to its "official" announcement, as a thank-you for his lobbying efforts in an election year. Daniel Case (talk) 08:30, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
