- Mesto means "town" or "city" in Slovak and is derived from the word miesto, meaning place. Similar-sounding terms, different meaning. The Czech language is similar, with město (town/city) and místo (place). --ZemplinTemplar (talk) 17:31, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
