editSomeone added that Iachtchouk played with Shevchenko in the youth leagues? Do we have any proof of this fact? Julien Tuerlinckx 16:51, 7 December 2005 (UTC) Iachtchouk played with Shevchenko in Ukraine national under-18 football team! 92.113.223.236 (talk) 15:39, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Citizenship
edit- Aleksandr Grigoryev, Iachtchouk remains a citizen of Ukraine. His citizenship can only be revoked by a President's decree. Until and unless that happens Ukraine recognizes only his Ukrainian nationality. See Закон Про громадянство України, in particular Article 2 (Section 1) and Article 19 (last paragraph). Hope this helps. Dkua (talk) 00:40, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- So that's for Ukraine, right? About Belgian nationality, this is the official mention of his naturalization in the "Belgisch Staatsblad" / "Moniteur belge" [1], which apparently dates from 2003. --LimoWreck (talk) 16:41, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, he is a Belgian citizen as well. Dkua (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:23, 11 May 2009 (UTC).

Transliteration from Ukrainian?
editWhy is the French transliteration of his name used in this article? Shouldn't the English transliteration(Yashchuk) be used since this is the English Wikipedia? Wasmachien (talk) 01:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
