The first thing that shows up in a Google search for this man is something from the United Nations (http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/unpfii/documents/member_loode.pdf). The overall problem here is the conflict of interest, and the lack of viewpoints. Perhaps the best approach is to recommend this article for deletion, regular deletion, and get the viewpoint of multiple editors. // Posted by larsona (Talk) // 02:37, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
As an Estonian who has some knowledge in the Fenno-Ugric matters, I can confirm that on the scale of the international Fenno-Ugric movement, Oliver Loode should be notable enough. Of course, one might say that the whole movement is insignificant by the standards of English Wikipedia. Still, I'd recommend improving the article with additional sources, not deletion. Concerning the lack of viewpoints - well, in most cases, there aren't really many viewpoints on a minor (non-celebrity, non-political) biographical article, if biographical facts aren't contested. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) - this is a translation from existing article in Estonian. The importance of the article (and the individual about whom it is) is not for the author to decide, this was just an attempt at translation. Oloode (talk) 02:44, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Reference added, addressing other potential issues

A reference to UNPFII website (confirming status as Member of UNPFII) has been added, so there is at least one reference. On the question of potentially biased content. All statements in the article are based on facts that can be verified through sources in Estonian (which is the original language of the article). On notability: The article has been accepted as legitimate in Estonian Wikipedia. The purpose of this translation was simply to broaden the audience of potential readers, not to imply that the person in question is a global rock star or thought leader. Alternative and neutral viewpoints on this would be appreciated. Oloode (talk) 20:58, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
