Review of data
editLooking at the SIMBAD data on Omicron Capricorni, I notice that these two stars are too far apart to comprise a physical double, with Omi1 being 73.26 parsecs and Omi2 being 41.86 parsecs distant. So, I suggest the article be changed into a redirect to 2 subsequent articles, much as is done for similar situations, e.g. Xi_Capricorni. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.19.185.235 (talk) 07:55, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- The now-included references indicate they are considered a binary system, I believe primarily because of the similar proper motions, and the parallax measurements themselves have a high level of error so they are unreliable indicators. Thanks. Praemonitus (talk) 17:21, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
