The article refers to Verastem as a "direct competitor" of Oncomed. Is this truly the case? It is common practice to improve efficacy by giving multiple drugs in combination, especially if neither has significant side effects. (IE are Oncomed and Verastem complementary, like a doctor and a nurse, or truly adversarial?)
