Merging this article to 'Underfloor heating' is not appropriate in view that modern-day archaeological finds indicate the Brozne Age type of Ondol has been found in the ancient 'excavated dwelling'. Another reason: Ondol is both for cooking and heating, while 'underfloor heating' is a modern architectural concept of home heating methods.Chmyr (talk) 22:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC) User Yeahsoo have added the following phrase:Reply

(AKA: "kang"(Kang_bed-stove (Chinese: 炕; pinyin: kàng) (Chinese: 炕; pinyin: kàng) )

  • Ondol is a distinctive cultural tradition of Koreans since prehistoric times different from the Kang. I have reverted changes made by Yeahsoo, and will continue to do so unless proven otherwise.
  • I am just listing the kang bed-stove in the see also topic, because they use similar concept, and in the purpose of spreading knowledge. I do not put any claim of either item is originated from either of them. please view this matter in good faith and without bias. --Simon18i 15:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is a lot of information in Underfloor_heating, especially Underfloor_heating#Korean_ondol_technology that I would expect to find in this article. Please consider moving detailed information to this article instead. Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 12:43, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I add wikiproject Architecture because ondol system is kinds of heating system that is having been used for koreans. Heating system is one of most important factor that making building or house with water and sewage. Byung do jung (talk) 15:06, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
