Not notable?
editI believe ONE is notable. His works have very well-developed articles, so it's kind of silly he himself is not notable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.253.21 (talk) 04:04, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on One (manga artist). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20140914122146/http://www.nhk.or.jp/sakidori/backnumber/120902.html to http://www.nhk.or.jp/sakidori/backnumber/120902.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Sensei
editPlease explain how you got from the term sensei to the information you are trying to insert where suddenly One became a collective of three different people working under a martial arts system? The Japanese Wikipedia articles makes absolutely no mention of this, nor do English sources, and neither do the sources you have tried to use. Where are you getting this information from, because so far I'm not convinced that the information is factual. Opencooper (talk) 01:34, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
Pronunciation
edit"1" or "oh-nay"? Erik Humphrey (talk) 23:50, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Erik Humphrey: Very likely the former. For starters, ther name is written in the Latin script so it more likely to be the number than the romanization of おね (which only has the meaning of "mountain ridge" come up; there are some hits as a female given name, and some surnames but probably not the case here as it's a mononym). Additionally, their manga has the English-language title of One-Punch Man. By the way, the Japanese pronunciation of the English number would be wan (ワン, "wa-nuh"). Anyway, just an educated guess. There could be sources out there regarding the matter, but my Japanese Google-fu is weak. Opencooper (talk) 01:43, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks! I can't believe I didn't consider "One" being in the title of One Punch Man. But I wouldn't say it's "wa-nuh" with the way ん and ン are pronounced, but I guess the sound can't be written with the English alphabet any way other than "n". Usually sounds like one syllable, just like "one", unless you drag it out to be two sounds / on. But it probably makes more sense to say "wa-n" or "wan" instead of wa-nuh. Erik Humphrey (talk) 08:29, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah that was meant to be an approximation as I didn't know how familiar you were with Japanese phonology, hence the link to Forvo which has audio samples from native speakers. Agreed about the limitations of the English alphabet to represent sounds in other languages (writing it as "wan" risks mistaking it for the English word). Occupation? "Artist"?
editOne says that drawing webcomics is his "hobby", meaning that he has a job "proper". Which is it? This should be added to the article as well as other background.
Also, he denies being called "artist", he forwards this title to his collaborators that draw mangas, based on his webcomics. Should then the article renamed into "One (manga creator)" or something like that? 5.18.242.22 (talk) 16:23, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
