editI modified the "First Owl" link since the Purdue Owl is not the first OWL. There are other candidates for that honor, and I doubt that it will ever be settled. For example, the Salt Lake Community College Online Writing Center web page was established in July of 2004. Rather than "firsts" it would seem to be more productive to explore the history of OWLs in various media. --Clint Gardner
Bias and Lack of Sources
editThis article leaves out the other OWLs that exist, and focuses solely on the Purdue OWL. It needs some work before it can be considered an article about the general topic of Online Writing Labs.
The history section contains no sources for its claims about the Purdue OWL. It looks like original research, which as far as I understand, doesn't belong on Wikipedia. --Polintr (talk) 22:01, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
