Their should be a mention of the problems associated with the model of Calibra eg, transmition, electrics, or engine.

overall article

edit

It's coming along nicely :) Cheers to the people who corrected some of my spelling mistakes (ie supercede>supersede & Playstation>PlayStation).

I think it's a pretty comprehensive article at this stage :) I really don't know what else there is to add other than some references maybe?

A2 better than Calibra?

edit

If the total drag is considered, not just the drag coefficient is Calibra significant better. Honda insight is still slightly better. I think this is of more interest. Automobile_drag_coefficient — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.227.95.191 (talk) 23:01, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

A2 and Insight are NOT better than Calibra! Just look at them and see the difference! How could they possibly have better drag coefficient with those body heights?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.94.160.144 (talk) 21:11, 23 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Vauxhall Calibra?

edit

I searched for "Vauxhall Calibra" but was redirected to "Opel Calibra". Eh? If we're covering Opel and Vauxhall Calibra's with one article, should it not just be called "Calibra"? Or possibly Vauxhall/Opel Calibra?

Nope. Opel and Vauxhall are not treated same level, because design is originated by Opel, though it's the case with almost all Vauxhall models. They are desgined in Rüsselsheim.
Vauxhall = Opel "sub-brand" of UK. --194.203.215.254 (talk) 13:38, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

article title

edit

The Calibra was manufactured by Opel. This is indicated by the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) which starts with WOL indicating that it is an Opel.

If we are to change the name of the article to include Vauxhall we will also need to include Holden and Chevrolet, and probably also General Motors which owns Opel.

I think that the manufacturer specified in the VIN in this instance is an appropriate grounds for determining the manufacturer.

Just my 2c. But I think it would be wrong to include Vauxhall without including Holden and Chevrolet as well and it would make the title unnecessarily complicated.

New Calibra?

edit

was just pointed to this article

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/209398/sleek_calibra_lives_again.html

and i think it should be added to the article.. but i really don't know the proper way to put it in so i was thinking maybe someone else should do it the way it should be done.. i don't want to mess up the article or make it look unprofessional. Thontor 18:17, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Monaro as a replacement.

edit

The article mentions the VX200 as the next car of this kind when in the case of Vauxhall the Monaro is probably the closest thing to the Calibra yet its compleely unmentioned whilst there are reference to the Astra Coupe and the VX200 which are both considerably smaller.(Morcus (talk) 17:15, 30 August 2008 (UTC))Reply
