editFrom what I see in the article, there's a couple of sections without citations. For example, Private API section has big paragraph that does not include citations. Also, In Open APIs on the Web section the first paragraph needs citation.
Proposing a change
editOpen API is an interesting topic and there is a lot to modify in this article. I would like to improve one sentence in introduction part which contains some grammatical errors. Below sentence could be modified
"They may be used by both developers inside the organisation that published the API or by any developers outside that organisation who wish to register for access to the interface".Mounica merla (talk) 20:12, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Proposing an improvement- 16 oct '16
editI would like to add below amendments to the Wikipedia article “Open API” to improve the content:
- Add the below sentence in the section “Open APIs in Business”
“There are two key business models applied to the development and application of these APIs known as user pays and developer pays[1]”
- In-line citation added in the section "Characteristics"-
They are based on an open standard[1].

Article Review - Class assignment 16 oct '16
editThere is lot of scope for improvement for this article, listed below are my view-
1. Lead section can be improved with more information and brief introduction on the later sections.
2. There can be a section on how the term has been coined.
3. There can be section explaining the real-time importance or use of Open API.
4. Every section has little information such as, in “characteristics” section, there is mention of “open standard” with no explanation.
5. There are few in-line citations missing. For example - in “characteristics” section, “open standard” characteristic is not cited.
6. There can be more examples for open API’s in business and web sections.
Overall I feel that the article can be improved by adding more sections and improving the content considering conference journals and peer-reviewed articles.comment added by Ramya Priya (talk • contribs) 03:07, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

editThere are several changes to be made in this article
1. The lead section can be improved by adding some information about the open API.
2. The article looks like there is lot of personal information included without any citation in private API.
3. citing are needed in several places which are need to be improved.
4. overall, I would suggest much more information could be added regarding the business perspective of an open API. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.84.227.12 (talk) 22:08, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
