Hausser?
editLooking at the campaignbox I see that Hausser is down as the "lead" German commander. However, I also see that the order of battle shows that the German forces involved were from 5th Panzer Army commanded by Eberbach. As I understand it (and I don't claim any expertise on this campaign) Hausser commanded 7th Army which did most of the fighting in Normandy - but it's not clear to me who was involved in this engagement. Either the infobox is wrong or the order of battle. Stephen Kirrage talk - contribs 19:55, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Inconsistent Casualties?
editUK:
5,114 (VIII Corps only)
246 tanks (excluding light casualties)
Germany:
+100 tanks (including light casualties)
Why do we exclude light casualties for one, but include them for the other? There might be circumstances in which this makes perfect sense, but at first glance, it seems inconsistent and a bit confusing since one would assume that we are comparing likes. We also seem to omit non-VIII Corps casualties, although perhaps they are unknown? Lastly, what is the relevance of the "+" before the 100? What are the 100 tanks in addition to? - Usually this is because the sources don't contain sufficient data to be consistent. RegardsKeith-264 (talk) 15:15, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
