editPlease cite your sources. Also, I think it would be helpful to expand the introduction a bit; provide years, and perhaps expand a bit on what type of operation it was, what it was in response to or sought to accomplish, or why it was significant. Otherwise, a great start. Thank you. LordAmeth 15:03, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Updating the content
editHi all. I wish to replace Operation Protea with an improved article that follows the progression of the SADF battle groups and the different battles they took part in. It will also detail the SAAF air strikes. I will also include the brief information I can find concerning the neglected part of Operation Protea, which was Task Force Bravo's efforts to the east. I believe the article should be challenged as apart from the additions the usual SA Military Wikipedians have added in the recent year or so, the main body of the article has not been cited since 2012 nor since it was created in 2006. I have struggled to find the source of the text so I could cite it myself, so I decided instead to rewrite it and cited all work. All maps, images and Orders of Battle will remain as will some of the intro and conclusion . I wish to replace it in the next few days when I finish fine tuning it and barring any major objections. I don't think the current article does do justice to the battles that took place. Thanks Paul.Conlinp (talk) 13:19, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
