SUSSEX Teams did not use S Phone but the Mk XXII Klaxon (VHF), developed by Section VIII of the SIS (At higher altitude & greater range than the S Phone (UHF) of the SOE). They communicated by night with Joseph KESSEL @Marius, André BERNHEIM, Georges BAILLY @ Bailly COWELL, Pierre AMBRE @Pierre OGIER, Eugène GIACOMINI and Hervé DOYEN, nicknamed «Boffins» who were on board B25 Mitchell of RAF 226 Squadron called Special Signals Flights. ~2026-48486-86 (talk) 15:47, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
