Rationale for creation
editThis stub was created as part of the ongoing inventorying and prioritization process undertaken by the Government & Politics subgroup of WikiProject Oregon. It was redlinked on several Oregon government-related pages. Although currently only mentioned in passing in the introductory paragraph, DAS, as chief management and oversight authority for all executive branch state agencies (the vast majority of all government enterprise in the state), it is arguably the most powerful government entity in the state. As such, its notability should become clear as the article is expanded (on the subgroup's "to do" list), and will probably be target of numerous links throughout the scope of the Oregon WikiProject's Government & Politics articles. -- "J-M" (Jgilhousen) 10:46, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
