Demonym
editAs a native of Orem, Utah I hear others call residents as Oremites. But this is of limited exposure. What are other demonyms used? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.70.17.241 (talk) 20:38, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Crashutah
editMy website http://www.crashutah.com is the best entertainment and restaurant guide for Utah County and Orem in particular. Check it out and let me know if you think it should be linked.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.253.98.36 (talk • contribs)
- You've already been warned once for spamming all of the Utah related pages with this. Please do not spam the talk pages with the same thing. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Tahitian Noni
editRemoved Tahitian Noni International from the list of Company startups because it did not come from Orem. It was originally founded in Lindon, and is currently headquartered in Provo. Neither of these facts qualify it as coming from Orem, hence its removal from the list. 70.58.32.173
- I'm sorry, but their website doesn't agree with you. Care to provide a better reference? McKay 07:04, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Also, I think that Tahitian Noni needs to be a company article, but I don't think that I'm the one to write it. We'll see about that though, if no one does it soon. If anyone thinks I should stub it out, pester me. McKay 07:08, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, their website specifically says that they were founded in Lindon in 1996, and that the world headquarters opened in Provo in 2002. The location of their headquarters doesn't really seem debatable, as you can find the address listed on their site, as well as business directories and even Google Maps They maintain a PO box in Orem, but that does not qualify them as a "Company Startup" coming out of Orem, which is the section heading in question. 70.58.32.173
- There we go, that's what I was looking for. I kept on going to the "contact" page on their main website. Thanks for providing a better reference.McKay 04:49, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Photo
editA photo has been requested, but I can't think of anything that I could really add. Hmm, I might be able to get a picture of all of Orem taken from Provo. Whaddayathink? Any other ideas? McKay 14:57, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Any picture would work; city hall, UVSC, "main street" (is there a main street Orem?), or, as you suggested, all of Orem from Provo. That would be a great picture to get, in fact. People like pictures. I do too. bob rulz 00:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- See, that's the problem. I've lived in Orem for years, and can't really think of anything that's indicative of Orem. city hal isn't bad. Five major named streets run through Orem: Main Street (which is which is almost entirely residential properties, and breaks up a few times), Center Street and State Street both harbor commercial storefronts (and at their intersection is city hall and the library) as well as University Parkway, and Orem Blvd. (renamed Courtesy Way). I'll prolly snag a picture of the city hall block, and Orem from Provo. McKay 16:19, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Notable resident?
editListed among the residents is "Taylor Hanson, Mother of the dawn best-selling author." The name is linked to one of the members of the band Hanson, and the only references I can find to this title/person are mirrors of this page. I'm going to remove this link. 98.202.190.121 (talk) 15:17, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
