Spaces after full stop
editThis article is inconsistent with spaces after a full stop. It looks like most use one space, I will change what I see to one space Deadlyops (talk) 21:45, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Improper renaming of article and move
editWikipedia has procedures for proposed moves and changes to article names. A proposed change is posted and other editors have the opportunity to support or reject the new name. This was not done; other editors did not have a chance to determine a consensus. Clearly Organized Retail Crime is a world problem. I have added a couple of reference to support this: more could be added. The article should revert back to its proper name. Rlsheehan (talk) 02:59, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- I have reverted the move and title change: this article has references to Canada. UK, and Australia as well as international crime rings. I will be further improving the article. Rlsheehan (talk) 18:53, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
NPOV
editFigured I'd check out this article after listening to the most recent On the Media episode about the subject, and yikes -- it seems like we're just presenting the panic version promoted by industry PR. We have industry estimates being attributed to the FBI, inclusion of individual stories as "notable" even when the neologism isn't used in the coverage, and have nothing about the many challenged figures/misinformation/criticism of the proposed laws predicated on the phenomenon. I started to just do some editing, but it felt like I should do some more research first (I don't want to skew the weight based on the sources I'm coming to this through), so figured I'd drop this here for now to see if anyone has thoughts. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 20:59, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Soibangla: I see you edited the article yesterday to add one of the stories I saw -- what do you think about the article in general? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:44, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- my review of the article was pretty much limited to finding the proper place to include my edit, I don't really follow it soibangla (talk) 03:51, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- it needs copyediting badly. I tried to fix some of it for you. 67.82.74.5 (talk) 06:04, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
