The Parker House

edit

The Parker House was built after the Civil War and therefore, could not have been a stop on the Underground Railroad. The property was a wedding gift from Cyrus G. Luce (who would later become Governor of Michigan) to his daughter, Elmira J. Luce, and his son-in-law, John G. Parker, who then built the house. They were married in December 1870, AFTER the Civil War. John and Elmira had four children, the youngest a daughter, Florence Belle, was my great-grandmother. 66.214.72.30 (talk) 23:43, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
