@NessieVL: Actually this type of situation has been discussed by WP:Paleontology, which oversees extinct taxa, and the consensus plus guideline is to write a comprehensive genus article that discusses the species only. In fossil taxa there is very rarely enough distinct information to make more then repetitive stubs at the species level that mostly duplicate whats at the genus article. If there are a large number of species then a "Species of Ormoceras" article is recommended. See Palaeovespa and Gerontoformica for examples.--Kevmin§12:03, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
