The content in this article lacks coherence. For instance: ‘In the 16th century, the fortress town of Oryol was founded, restored destroyed in the 13th century, Livny. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the territory of modern Oryol was the borderland of the Tsardom of Russia, there are many on the strengthening of large defense line.’

How exactly is a town founded and then immediately ‘restored destroyed’? Why did we leap back in time, from the 16th century to the 13th? Who is this elusive ‘Livny’? Then we move along, somehow changing from past tense (‘was the borderland’) to present (‘there are many’) in the same sentence. The comma after ‘Russia’ and before ‘there’ in the second sentence mentioned should be a semicolon, for the words following make a complete sentence. I also believe either the word ‘strengthening’ or ‘large’ should be eliminated because the sentence is rather redundant with both, but I digress. What is a ‘strengthening of large defense line’? More importantly, what does the sentence mean by saying that the territory of modern Oryol was the borderland and that there are many on the defense line? Many territories? Borderlands? Surely not many modern Oryols? I could make a guess, but perhaps it would be best for the article itself to specify.

It seems probable that the person(s) who wrote it are not familiar with the English language, and for this I cannot blame them. If I were able to understand the information within the article, I would correct it in editing. Unfortunately it makes little to no sense. While I am noting this, I might as well mention that the page ‘Saratov Oblast’ could also use some changes in the ‘Prehistoric period’ section inside ‘History’.
