Forbes Field and other design claims

edit

(The citation flag is one way to call attention to the problem. I'm not sure that source notes for particular listings are the solution.)

What was Osborn's role at Forbes Field, Pittsburgh? The Forbes infobox lists architect Charles Wellford Leavitt and structural engineer Nicola Building Company, rather than Osborn Engineering. What about the Polo Grounds, New York, whose infobox lists architect Henry B. Herts?

"Osborn" does not appear anywhere in those two ballparks articles or the Leavitt article. Infoboxes do list architect Osborn Engineering for the other six of the first eight ballparks listed here, through 1915. I haven't cross checked any of the later ones.

Forbes opened during the 1909 baseball season. It is now the first ballpark listed here, since I have exchanged its place with League Park, Cleveland. That change follows our article on League Park which gives 1910 rather than 1909. --P64 (talk) 17:51, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
