Additional sources
editThis article from Cambridge University says "Oscar Haywood, the treasurer of Cavalier and a renowned Klan lecturer,.." based on the snippet I can see but I don't have access to the rest of it. FloridaArmy (talk)
Unreliable sources
editThis posting on the Mt. Gilead Pride page makes for pretty fascinating reading. Apparently his plantation house still exists and the post includes photos of it and the O.H. stained glass window as well as.text from on of his ancestors to a D.A.R. group. No mention of the Klan. Nor in his obit. Pretty fascinating. Another source claims he wrote Practical Christianity in 1894 and Jean Val Jean in 1900. I can't find any evidence for this but most of the sources are archival and not easily available online. I believe he was kocked out of the mainline Baptist church for his Klan advocacy. Coverage of that would be good to include if it can be found. FloridaArmy (talk) 02:20, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Categories
editI'm not an expert, or ecen a beginner, when it comes to categories but an appropriate category for his KKK role would seem apt. FloridaArmy (talk) 15:17, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
