Reverting/deleting of edits relating to international campaign to support Beth Schlesinger

edit

Anonymouse user https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/62.99.216.229 is reverting posts that refer to this campaign. The user claims that the edits make false allegations but they only state a campaign is ongoing which is a fact as can be seen by the reference. 193.69.225.110 (talk) 11:30, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please see WP:UNDUE. This content does not belong in this biography. Cullen328 (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Most of this biography could be tagged as UNDUE, there doesn't seem anything more or less notable about this part. Maybe adding this article would add more balance rather than just removing it. https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/head-of-austrian-community-offers-help-to-uk-mums-bid-to-reunite-with-twins/ The campaign has received international media attention including in the UK parliament, in national press in UK and on Austrian TV. Oskar Deutsch only became a target of a letter writing campaign recently so there isn't much press coverage on his involvement. 193.69.225.110 (talk) 22:12, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry / possible COI

edit

62.99.216.229 (talk · contribs) seems to be a sockpuppet of CHBDKGW (talk · contribs). Both use very similar edit summaries and are interested in the same particular part of the article.

Furthermore, I would put forward that CHBDKGW has a conflict of interest with either the subject of the article, or one of the subjects of this particular sentence. The repeated usage of the phrase 'false allegations' reveals a strongly held point of view which is being pushed here. I don't think this user is in a situation where they can reliably edit this article from a neutral point of view. — JThistle38 (talk) 09:49, 8 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have no COI or connection with Oskar Deutsch, but this content is clearly inappropriate per WP:UNDUE. Cullen328 (talk) 18:33, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Cullen328: frankly I don't give a monkey's about the content. I'm simply stating that I have recognised what I believe to be a conflict of interest and a case of sockpuppetry. — JThistle38 (talk) 19:03, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Jthistle38. The content always comes first. Always. What leads you to believe that the account and the IP are the same person? Their edit summaries are very different. Cullen328 (talk) 19:26, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
The repeated usage of the phrase 'false allegations/accusations' with little information about what the allegations in question actually are. (I will not be pursuing this further.) — JThistle38 (talk) 19:30, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
