Expected
editIt is expected that Yushchenko's resignation from our Ukraine will form part of any coalition agreement in the formation of Ukraine's next government
Never read that...is it your opinion ore a fact? Mariah-Yulia
- Looks like opinion. — Alex(T|C|E) 06:14, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Our Ukraine-People's Self Defence bloc received 14.16% of the vote, 236964 less votes in 2007 then 2006, representing an overall swing of 0.20%.
The number of votes received by Our Ukraine in 2007 was significantly less the the number of votes received by the Party of Regions. It is interesting that editors o Wiklipedia selectivly highlight false and misleading statistics and do not apply the same policies to there ow supported party. FACT in 2006 27% of voters supported minor party candidates who did not receive more then the minimum 3% representation threshold. I 2007 7% of the electorate supported minor party (Including the socialists) This ad the regional distribution results ad swig tables indicate that most of Yulia Tymoshenkos support came from a consideration of the minor party vote in regions where Yulia Tymosheko as already the leading party. BUT of course they do not want to publish this fact preferring instead, aided and abbetted by corrupt admistrators and other editors, push a pro-presidetial partisan bias POV, bringing Wikipedia into international disrepute.
Our Ukraine is bitterly divided with 10% of their represetation tendering their resigation this week Febriary 26, 2008. There is serious discussio that Yusheko oce he can serure more power and support for a retur to a Presidetial Authoriratia regime and a possible second term he will dissmiss Yulia Tymochenko and appoint someone of his own chosing. Ukraine can expect fresh early elections later this year
new party in the bloc?
editIs there a new party in the block called "United Center"[1]? is this a result of the fact that Roman Bezsmertny, high ranked party official, along with people’s deputies, Mykhaylo Polyanchych, Ihor Kryl, Viktor Topolov, Oksana Bilozir and Vasyl Petevka resigned on 20 February, and left Our Ukraine? Mariah-Yulia (talk) 18:33, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes there is. I'm not sure if "United Center" has been officially registered as a party, but these five deputies have resigned from their party (Peoples union "Our Ukraine") and are now operating under the banner of "United Center". Because the imperative mandate applies to the parliamentary faction on whose list a candidate stands, deputies can resign from their party and remain deputies within the faction, either independent or as members of another party. -- Timberframe (talk) 18:54, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
The beginning of the end?
editThe bloc seems to be fallen apart... [2][3][4]. Should we mention that in the current article, or wait events... I can't see Yuri Lutsenko coming back to the party, but who knows.... Mariah-Yulia (talk) 17:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Social-National Party of Ukraine not a 2002 member
editSocial-National Party of Ukraine was not a part of Our Ukraine in 2002; its (current) leader Oleh Tyahnybok run the elections on a Our Ukraine Bloc ticket although he was then a member of the Social-National Party of Ukraine that does not make that party a part of this bloc (globalsecurity.org says it wasn't anyway). — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 03:21, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Article name
editHonestly, I don't I agree with the title's move to "Our Ukraine Bloc/Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc" from "Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc." I mean, I see your reasoning that this political group/party/association/etc. participated in two elections under the "Our Ukraine Bloc" moniker and as "Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc" in only one, but that defeats the purpose of the title, which is supposed to reflect the current name of the party/group rather than all former names.. Right? I suggest we move back because I feel this one is redundant and states what can already be stated in the first paragraph of the article in such a way as ...was previously known as the Our Ukraine Bloc until 2007.
I understand that in some circumstances a reader would get confused if let's say for instance theoretical political party "ABC" was renamed "XYZ," but here "Our Ukraine" is still very much a part of the current bloc's name, hence making the first portion of the title useless. And in the instance of the theoretical "ABC" party renamed into "XYZ," it's still very much the same party with the same history/ideology/formation, so it should reflect that, and just state the fact that a name change was conducted. Article redirects can do the rest. It just needs to be concise. --dsergienko (talk) 01:09, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- You have some good points. But what I was thinking about when I made the name change was that after the 2012 election this Bloc will be history... and it will probabley be remembered as "Our Ukraine" (probably not even as "Our Ukraine Bloc"). But OK, right now a much better article name is Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc. (For now) I think that on October 29, 2012 (i.o.w. after the next election) the page should be renamed Our Ukraine Bloc (this political group/party/association/etc. participated in two elections under the "Our Ukraine Bloc" moniker and as "Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc" in only one and it is barely functioning as a unit (if at all) as "Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc" since the 2007 elections while it previously as "Our Ukraine Bloc" seemed more united/1 unit); but lets think what we will do on October 29, 2012 for a while... cause we can . — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 02:08, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed. We should just scrap all of these articles, most of these parties are out for their own interests and not out for the Ukrainians they are supposed to be representing. I'm just kidding lol. But yeah, the situation is currently unclear due to the new electoral law on how this supposed bloc is supposed to be governed (if it even is a bloc right now in the first place). Time will tell. --dsergienko (talk) 23:20, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
You scared me there for a moment... — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 23:27, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
