Wrong 'Bill Jones' in Band Members section.
editI believe the guitarist went by 'Billy Jones'...when you clink on the name you get a politician's article page.
On 14-Oct-2006 The Outlaws played a benefit concert at the Pasco-Hernando Community College, Florida, USA. Hughie mentioned that they are trying to release "Full Circle" by the end of this year. At the after-show reception the band members were gracious to sign authographs (like my authentic playlist) and pose for pictures. PHCC's website has an event listing: http://www.phcc.edu/calendar/#14a Karstdiver 03:39, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
I once heard The Outlaws referred to as "Tampa's Guitar Army". Karstdiver (talk · contribs), 02:44, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

"SOUTHERN ROCK LEGEND DIES IN HIS BROOKSVILLE HOME"
The music world lost a major player recently. A founding member of the southern rock band "Outlaws" Hughie Thomasson passed -on at his Brooksville FLA home. Hughie was a super-star. His music manner was very unique & special. Boggieman Bobby knew Hughie back in the late 60's & 70's, playing in the Tampa Fla. Boggieman was touring with the "Catus" Band. Cactus was kick-ass rock-n-roll out of New York CIty. On many occasions Hughie's band would open - up for Cactus. Curtis Hixon Hall, Tampa Stadium & local clubs Hughie was a champion guitar player. He owned over a dozen guitars over his playing career. Each guitar was very special one named Louise, a favorite. Outlaws were a big-time crowd pleaser. Their sound was unique called The Guitar Army. Hughie was always out front, taking charge of the Famed Guitar Army. Outlaws Band toured the world, Europe, Amsterdam with rock groups such as Aerosmith, Scorpions & Tesla. In the Mid 1990's Outlaws Band broke-up. Hughie was then picked-up by the new-formed Lynyrd Skynyrd. His guitar sound fit the band right & tight. In 2005 Hughie left Skynyrd to for the new Outlaw Band. Back on track with a killer group of band mates Hughie loved to perform live. His passion was his fans. Hughie played many a benefit concert. Much like Willie Nelson. Yes, music will live-on, but, without one of it's shinning stars. Hughie was inducted into the Florida Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. Hughie in God's all-star band in heaven.

The photo at the top of the page misidentifies the man on the left. He is Freddie Salem, not Thomasson (sp?). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bawanderr (talk • contribs) 16:56, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
