1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd)
editShould this article include the history of the 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd) from November 1958 to 1 Jan 1966 i.e. treated as same regiment as Oxford and Bucks or should there be a separate page for 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd) which is currently a hidden page. Charlie52 (talk) 18:04, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi - On balance I think it is best where it is (at 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd)) at least for the moment; however, wherever it goes, it needs in-line citations (including page numbers) as required by WP:CITE (which it does not currently have). Once the text meets wikipedia guidelines and the quality is thereby improved we can decide whether to integrate it with the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry article. Best wishes. I may be wrong however I feel the book listed in sources Blechman, Andrew (2006). Pigeons: the fascinating saga of the world's most revered and reviled bird has been put in this article erroneously. Unlikely to be a source of information for this history of Oxf and Bucks L.I. Charlie52 (talk) 18:11, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed. It does look wrong. I have changed reference 63 which previously cited Blechman such that it now cites Joslen. Thanks. Dormskirk (talk) 22:03, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Many thanks for correction. Are you able to assist with in line citations 1st GJ 43rd/52nd article. Best Wishes. Charlie52 (talk) 18:01, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- I do not have copies of the books referred to at the bottom of the article. If you have copies you should be able to insert the page numbers yourself without difficulty. Please read WP:CITE to find out how to do it. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 21:59, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- I have now added some sources and deleted some extensive unsourced information. You really need to be adding the in line citations as you go along. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 16:03, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
