Oyster-2

edit

Hi. There is news about Oyster-2 being deployed at Orkney Wave Power Station. Would be nice if someone can mention here. I wouldn't mind doing so, but I am currently working on other stuff, so don't have the time. Cheers. Rehman(+) 09:17, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oyster 3

edit

This news this news is mentioning Oyster 3. What is its status? Is it something new or is it the same project known as Oyster 2 or Oyster 800? This article probably needs an update. Beagel (talk) 14:52, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal

edit

I propose to merge Orkney Wave Power Station into this article. The Orkney Wave Power Station is still only the test site for Oyster devices at the European Marine Energy Centre. Beagel (talk) 15:00, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • While the Orkney Wave Power Station remains on the drawing board, I've no objection to a merger. It can have its article if it does indeed become "the largest wave power station in the world." Right now that seems some way off? Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 08:47, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose and close. Oppose only because the other article is about a separate power station, and this article is about the technology. Nevertheless, I am removing the merge tags since its over 2 years old. Please repost if you still wish to merge. Rehman 03:44, 1 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
