This page includes information about a candidate for governor. It does not exist just to promote the candidate, but to inform voters and interested individuals. Griebel is a noteworthy public figure, just like any other candidates for office with Wikipedia pages.Jsrgnt (talk) 14:33, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

See WP:POLITICIAN. Unelected politicians are not inherently notable; being a candidate is not a reason for inclusion. It is clear from way the article is written, and now from the explanation above, that the article exists purely as part of the campaign - using Wikipedia for promotional purposes is an abuse of editing privileges. Griebel does, however, meet the primary notability criterion established by wikipedia. His candidacy and his business career has received "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article." This includes the Hartford Courant, Business Week, The Register Citizen, Journal-Inquirer, and Hartford Business Journal. The author is not affiliated with Griebel's campaign and the article will undoubtedly develop as more contribute.Jsrgnt (talk) 14:44, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article is tagged for speedy deletion as overly promotional. It is also broadly identical to, and therefore a copyright violation of, [[1]]. I42 (talk) 14:47, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
