Thank you for the detailed information I just discovered on your Web site in regards to Plosnica. This is the village in Poland where my maternal grandmother was born. Neither my mother nor I ever knew her. She came to America in 1895 with her aunt, returned to Poland in 1899, came back to America and stayed until her death in 1909. I so want to find anything I can about her. She was born Auguste Demski in Dec. 1879. Her parents were Fred and Maria (Stachorski) Demski. Her brother's name was Johann and her sisters were Wilhemina, Maria, Henrietta, Anna and Bertha. Johann was the only sibling who never came to America. We know he had at least three children: Frederik, Gustav and Wilhelm. I believe the descendents of Frederik and Gustav may very well still live in or around Plosnica. I would appreciate any information I could find about my grandmother, her brother Johann, his sons and family and my great-grandparents Fred and Maria Demski.
