According to the section Construction from complete graph K6, J. J. Sylvester contributed to the finite geometry PG(3,2) in 1859 with duads and synthemes. A relevant article may be "Note on determinants and duadic synthemes" in the 1879 American Journal of Mathematics 2(3): 14 to 22.(Jstor link). However, upon reading the article no relation to the finite geometry was detected. Any idea what PG(4,2) and PG(5,2) would look like? They are used to represent multiplications for the trigintaduonions and sexagintaquatronions, respectively, so I would be interested to know. LagrangianFox (talk) 19:11, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
