Methyl Red - Confusing
editThe table has two different entries for Methyl Red. The first line states that Methyl Red turns from red to yellow over the range of 4.4 to 6.2. The second line states that Methyl Red turns from red to green over the range 4.5 to 5.2. This does not make sense. Only one of these can be right. Ileanadu (talk) 18:16, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Electrolytes vs "Protolytes"
editThere's ambiguity between electrolytes and "protolytes". The latter are usually "aqueous substances which can donate or receive protons", but I'm still not sure if that's an accurate definition of "protolytes". Since acids and bases are usually electrolytes unless specified otherwise, I changed "protolytes" to "electrolytes". In some other case, I also changed "pKa" to "pKa or pKb" to avoid ambiguity. I hope consensus will be made. Thank you ;) —CrafterNova [ TALK ] [ CONT ] 10:53, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Color at low pH - edits by blocked user
editI am about the to revert this by a blocked user. The information is discussed at Talk:Phenolphthalein#Forms. --Taweetham (talk) 10:09, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Taweetham: Can you please again explain why you removed information about Phenolphthalein and Thymolphthalein from the wikitable? I had added some information about them earlier and hope that correct parts of the edits will be restored as per WP:REVRESTORE. —CrafterNova [ TALK ] [ CONT ] 19:28, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
