FIVE Ghosts vs. FOUR Ghosts
editNumerous instances in the article mention five (5) Ghosts from the original Pac-Man game. I'm wondering whether these instances are typos or not, as I recall there being only four (4) Ghosts. I can't tell if those instances are referring to a game where Pac-Man faced off against five Ghosts rather than four; I'm not really familiar with a lot of the Pac-Man sequels/spin-offs. From what I've seen, the original games only feature four Ghosts. It would be appreciated if anyone else can provide insight on this matter; thanks in advance. The "Japanese folklore character"
editI see several websites referring to how the name Pac-Man "comes from the Japanese folklore character Paku who was known for his appetite", but I can't find anything about any such folklore. There IS a mythical creature called "baku" that eats dreams, which IS something like eating ghosts, but a cursory googling in Japanese doesn't turn up anything that suggests Pac-Man was in anyway inspired by baku. It looks to me like it just comes from "pakupaku", the onomatopoeia for gobbling something up. Anybody have any reliable sources for the folklore thing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drerp (talk • contribs) 15:47, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

The in-universe section should be edited.
editThe AtGames Namco lawsuit has led to Ms. Pac-Man not appearing anymore, and she was replaced by a new character called Pac-Mom. Pac Jr. And Pac Baby have also been reincarnated as 2 new characters called Pac-Boy and Pac-Sis. All 3 new characters debuted in Pac-Man Museum Plus, and will reappear in Pac-Man World Re-Pac. So I'm wondering, Should it be updated? Just a question. 78.17.32.122 (talk) 19:18, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
