Sue is from Ms. Pac-Man and is yellowish-orange in that game which was an code modification of Pac-Man. Sue replaced Clyde and is listed in the title sequence. Sue was added to Pac-Mania but was changed to purple to differentiate her from Clyde.

PLEASE STOP POSTING CRAP IN THE NAMCO ENTRIES GINGERFIELD !! You clearly are not well informed and your constant posting will be construed as vandalism.

FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME SUE FIRST APPEARED IN FROM MS. PAC-MAN !! GO WATCH THE MS. PAC-MAN ATTRACT MODE TITLE SEQUENCE. ALSO THIS ACTUAL FLYER PICTURE HERE - http://www.arcadeflyers.net/?page=flyerdb&subpage=flyer&id=707&image=2

Anyone who doesn't know that fact about one of the most successful arcade games of all time is definitely uninformed and shouldn't be posting ANYTHING about any arcade game anywhere.

Sue is yellowish-orange in Ms. Pac-Man and is listed in the attract mode title sequence (the fourth ghost) and is clearly listed on the Ms. Pac-Man flyer you damned dimwit !! How many damned times do people have to say this ?? The bottom line is every time you post clearly inaccurate info it WILL BE REMOVED.

All of the game references have been removed since this isn't really relevant to Pac-Mania. This should be the end of this constant back and forth modification people.

Why are you deleting the Atari Games thing in the game info?

Because on the title screen, it clearly says (C) 1980, 1987 NAMCO LTD.

Release months aren't good

edit

Case in point, the Dragon Saber list says 1987 10 for Pac-Mania (I verified this in the roms) but the info page for Pac-Mania in Namco Museum Volume 5 for the PS1 on Namco's own site says 1987 11 (http://namco-ch.net/nm_vol5/vol5-pacmania.html) - both sources are from Namco but one has to be a typo. Much better to simply go with the year 1987 as listed in the game's onscreen copyright. Months and especially specific days are dubious at best.

Spunky

edit

The article calls the grey ghost "Spunky", then goes on to say that the game itself never refers to him as such. Where did this name come from? Is it a fan-made term? Someone who actually knows needs to specify. SixteenBitJorge 22:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Pac-Man having to jump early"

edit
However, Pac-Man cannot jump over the gray ghost as well as Pac-Man having to jump early.

I can't parse this sentence. What does it mean? 194.100.223.164 (talk) 11:42, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I reworded it. It's actually possible to do, just tricky because the ghost is jumping at the same time. --jh51681 (talk) 08:59, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
I would like to make a note that only green ghosts can be jumped over, the grey ghost always jumps as high as Pac-man and at the same rate, so cannot be jumped over. http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8961 Quote from site (which is listed on External links). "There is also a silver ghost called Spunky who has the same ability to jump, but unlike Funky, Pac-Man cannot jump over him.". Starlac (talk) 12:38, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

NES Version?

edit

I think there are two different versions of the NES game.

I own one of Tengen's carts, and it is different to the version I rented from a Video Update. The version I own was programmed by Westwood Associates, who became Westwood Studios. That makes sense to me, though, as I was a kid who was allowed to visit Westwood, and I remember when I went to their little museum of whatever the programmed, I recall seeing the Pac-Mania Tengen box along with a bunch of other boxes of other games.

The version I rented at Video Update had a different cinema and title screen, and the graphics were slightly different as well. I wish I had more to go on, and until more can be confirmed, it's not worth adding to the article yet. Coffee5binky (talk) 03:36, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

For what it's worth, the GoodNES ROM set has only the Tengen/Westwood version of the game, which strongly suggests to me that other versions don't exist (GoodNES is a pretty exhaustive collection). I've looked under different regions and pirate carts, but I haven't found a different Pac-Mania game listed (or indeed any Pac-Mania other than the US version). Ms. Pac-Man did have two different NES versions, but as far as I can tell, Pac-Mania did not. - furrykef (Talk at me) 03:04, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Atari game?

edit

Does this article really belong to Atari arcade games category if it's only distributed by Atari Games in North America and Namco is game's developer? --84.249.133.52 (talk) 09:52, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
