Reason for not running for MP in 2010

edit

Although some of the sources mention United Kingdom parliamentary expenses scandal in terms of why he didn't run in 2010, I didn't find anything hugely definitive on that point. So unless there is something out there which goes into it more, it seems better to leave the article as not mentioning this as a reason. Perhaps unrelatedly, there is https://play.acast.com/s/the-political-party/show210-paddytipping which may go over some of the events in the article, although it probably is a bit too WP:PRIMARY to be hugely useful for our purposes. Although some of the sources mention United Kingdom parliamentary expenses scandal in terms of why he didn't run in 2010,...it seems better to leave the article as not mentioning this as a reason - where in the prose did it mention or imply the expenses scandal was a reason? What's prompted this advice? What am I missing here?--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 00:46, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
To be honest I don't remember exactly what I was thinking when I wrote this talk page comment. Perhaps whether "On 23 October 2009, Tipping announced his decision to stand down at the next general election, following a period of ill health" should include the phrase "following a period of ill health" but it sounds like we are agreed that it is OK to leave the article as it is.
