Father Léo → Padre Léo – All sources appear to use the name "Padre Léo" rather than the English translation of "Father Léo". See Padre Pio for precedent on this. ~ Pbritti (talk) 17:58, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- That's because none of the sources used in the article are written in English. What do English language sources use? Rreagan007 (talk) 19:46, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- There are no English-language sources that I've found, but it's commonplace to leave "padre" untranslated. As it is, having the article named "Father Léo" is using a name never applied to him. Would prefer his legal name over "Father Léo", an innovation of this article. ~ Pbritti (talk) 20:09, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- Support. Searching "Padre Léo" brings up results overwhelmingly about him, whereas "Father Léo" does not. In the absence of English sources one way or the other, it is worth keeping in mind that Padre is a title often used in English without translation (Oxford English Dictionary). I would also support Léo Tarcísio Gonçalves Pereira. {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 03:22, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
- Concur on that alternate name. ~ Pbritti (talk) 03:28, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
