– There is no primary topic for Pai Tavytera. In the similar situations (when the people and their language have the same name), usually there is no primary topic as well, see Bantu, Hausa, French, Dutch, Japanese etc. Onlk (talk) 22:14, 24 January 2023 (UTC)— Relisting. —usernamekiran (talk) 04:24, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
- Support. Proposal is WP:CONSISTENT with how we handle other similar cases. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 22:38, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. The people who created the language are, with very few exceptions, the primary topic, which is the case here. Sometimes "people" has been added to a title, but it is not necessary. The majority of ethnic group articles simply have the name itself, for instance, with Abipón, Aché, Ayoreo, Chamacoco, Enxet, Mbayá, Nivaclé, Payaguá, and Sanapaná in Paraguay. Pai Tavytera (disambiguation) only has wp:twodabs, so could easily be deleted but should absolutely not take the space of Pai Tavytera. In the examples listed above (Bantu, Hausa, etc.), there are far more than two dabs (although it is still not standard practice to always place a disambiguation page in the ethnic groups' name). This conversation has already played out in numerous ethnic group articles throughout Wikipedia throughout the years, resulting in the opposite of the suggestion above. Some Foo people articles were renamed to simply Foo. Ahalenia (talk) 03:50, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Ahalenia

- Support per nomination and ModernDayTrilobite. Would also support, however, deletion of Pai Tavytera (disambiguation) page per WP:ONEOTHER and have the two entries point to each other via hatnotes. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:15, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
