Pakistan National CongressBangladesh National Congress – There is no proof that Pakistan National Congress existed in Pakistan after Bangladesh Liberation War. The sources in the article clearly indicated that Pakistan National Congress became Bangladesh National Congress in 1971. It also participated in the 1973 Bangladeshi general election. On the other hand, Pakistan National Congress didn’t join 1977 Pakistani general election. In that sense, Bangladesh National Congress is the only successor of the Pakistan National Congress. Also, there is no proof we find that will lead us to believe that many politicians from West Pakistan were in this party, the names of the PNC politicians from the sources we find are mostly from East Pakistan which is now Bangladesh. It should be renamed to Bangladesh National Congress. However, if anyone can show us proofs stating many West Pakistani politicians were in that party then I would propose to rename it as "National Congress (1947–1975)".
