This page has been tagged with citation needed / clarification needed tags for years, and there are many unreferenced paragraphs without tags that need to be referenced but aren't tagged. Even with WP:SCICITE in mind, the Applications section fails the good article criteria 2b. In addition, both the Compounds and the Applications sections fail the good article criteria 3b, as the article frequently goes on tangents that are either not important or not necessary to the palladium article, which causes the article to lose focus. WP:SUMMARY style would appear to be more effective for these two sections. Lastly, the tagged phrases should be taken care of at the minimum, with preferably at least one reference for every paragraph. Utopes _{(talk / cont)} 21:22, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

After no substantial improvement, and while still failing to reach the Good Article criteria, it is with a heavy heart that I will be demoting this Good Article. I hope to see this article return soon as a Good Article nominee. Utopes _{(talk / cont)} 02:50, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
