"Notable customers" edit request
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, I work for a communications firm that represents Palo Alto Networks and I'd like to request an addition to the "Notable customers" section of this article:
- Palo Alto Networks has provided security services to Motorola (source), Exeter Financial (source), Brigham Young University–Hawaii (source), Neohapsis Labs (source), Health Information Technology Services – Nova Scotia (source), and HEAnet (source).
Due to my COI, I will not be editing the page directly. I'd greatly appreciate any help or feedback. Thank you! Mary Gaulke (talk) 17:23, 17 July 2015 (UTC), request edit template added Mary Gaulke (talk) 14:12, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
Not done Wikipedia is not a business directory. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:47, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302: Thanks for the quick feedback; I completely see your reasoning. I'd also be grateful for your advice: In a case like this, where there's a designated "Notable customers" section, I'm kind of confused about what makes a customer "notable" and how to help make the section a more useful part of the article with more than one example. Would mentions of just a few of the more recognizable "names" (e.g. Motorola, 24 Hour Fitness, Qualcomm) make more sense? I've never encountered a situation quite like this before so any additional perspective would be helpful. Thanks again. Mary Gaulke (talk) 13:08, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- I've removed that section since it was unsourced and possibly contentious to begin with. If the intention was to balance it I guess we're good. I agree there's no need to include a list of customers unless they're something other than routine as for any company. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 16:58, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking a look - much appreciated. Mary Gaulke (talk) 13:57, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
Panorama
editI'm surprise that the Panorama product isn't mentioned in this article. Kevink707 (talk) 21:34, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Name origin
editDid Palo Alto Networks originate in Palo Alto, just north on Santa Clara? What is the origin of the company name and connection with Palo Alto, California? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.225.17.141 (talk) 17:39, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
