editRegarding the question of notability for the subject of the Palomar (band) page:
Palomar has had releases on an inependent label "with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable" (the Self-Starter Foundation.) Also, Palomar has "been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble" including Ptichfork, Austin Chronicle, Big Takeover Magazine and the Tripwire. Also, Palomar has completed multiple tours, including national U.S. tours in the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, including a tour with nationally known group Mates of State in 2003. Palomar meets requirement numbers 1, 4 and 5 under the criteria for notability for musicians/ensembles. Beyond this, Palomar is a working band influencial in the Brooklyn indie rock scene, with a strong live presence and fan base in their area.Logan brennan 03:11, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I was grateful to find an entry -- I've had a Palomar T-shirt for a while without knowing a thing about the band (at first, I thought it was for the telescope, nerd that I am), so when I heard there was a band, I came here to Wiki & looked it up. Isn't that what Wikipedia is for? Or does there have to be an Encyclopaedia Britannica article on the same subject? Sheesh. --Andersonblog 16:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty much, yeah.P4k 02:33, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

editAre we sure the first album was on this label? I haven't found a listing that says it was. Torc2 (talk) 07:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
