About the "Panay Railways" steam locomotive in Plaza Libertad

edit

The 2-6-0 steam locomotive plinthed in Plaza Libertad, Iloilo, that is stylized as "Panay Railways no. 888" turns out to be Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company (BMMC) no. BM-1; the details of the locomotive being an ALCO product are correct. Builder's number is 65334 of 1923. However, the Philipine Railway DID own several 2-6-0 "Mogul" locomotives, number ranges 16 and 21-26, J. Smith's website on steam locomotive classes states. https://jdhsmith.math.iastate.edu/term/slphphry.htm Yugystudios (talk) 15:18, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
