Requested move
editI requested to move this page because the project name has changed. Take a look at official announcement at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=1216647186.6804.18.camel%40costilla&forum_name=pandora-develop and official homepage at http://pandorafms.org/en/index.php —Preceding unsigned comment added by Esanchezm (talk • contribs) 18:40, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- The official name is still Pandora FMS. I've renamed the article. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 22:35, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Security
editWhat is the point of having a username and password based security if someone publishes them here? Astronaut (talk) 11:10, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
The password is supposed to be changed the first time someone download and use it. Of course keeping that password as is pubilshed here it's not wise from the security point of view. 4zHaR (talk) 11:38, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Is this truly a free software?
editMaybe I don't know what a free software is, but from my understanding just because you are open source does not make you a free software. I visited their site and the only option I had was a 30-day free trial, after then I will be required to pay. If there is no free plan, then I suggest the claim of being a free software should be removed from the article. Not everyone posses the technical ability to fork the source codes on GitHub. - Pandora FMS has two versions: OpenSource, published under GPL2, and Enterprise, in a closed-source code commercial license. You probably visit the commercial site (.com), please visit the community site (pandorafms.org): it's all there: public git access, RPM, DEB and tarball packages, updated monthly, full documentation, screenshots, public forums, etc. There is no limitation on use in any kind, like the documentation available Slerena (talk) 10:19, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Slerena: Thank you so much! HandsomeBoy (talk) 13:09, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
Update: we've just updated our websites and unified all the information in pandorafms.com (both, commercial and opensource version) so it's not needed to update links --Slerena (talk) 18:53, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
