E.M = ???

edit

The Pathology section has the sentence that begins, "Other characteristics of the papillary carcinoma is that E.M. shows increased mitochondria, increased RER,"... with no wikilink. I find three medical disambiguations for E.M., but none seem appropriate. Wwheaton (talk) 01:18, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Active surveillance

edit

There is no mention of active surveillance as an alternative to surgery, though this is now the dominant recommendation by the leading authorities (such as the American Thyroid Association since 2015) for small malignant nodules.

This seems like a major omission. Currently the article reads like it is promoting surgery. Especially here:

"Surgery remains the mainstay of treatment for papillary thyroid cancer."
