I don't know why it was edited. I've never heard 'Trampled Under Foot' by Led Zepplin, but the guitars are actually pretty similar to Franz Ferdinand's 'Take me Out'.

They lyrics could even be interpreted as covering similar situations, but I won't get into that.

I have heard 'Trampled Under Foot' as well as 'Take Me Out' and Skid Row's 'Youth Gone Wild' (mention below by another user) and have found the similarities between 'Paralyzer' and 'Trampled" and 'Youth Gone Wild' superficial at best. 'Take Me Out' is as close as it gets, but even then it would be an argument to get the similarities included in the article.

Just my two cents. Perhaps someone else should look into this two before anything more gets added into the article.

Fair use rationale for Image:Finger eleven paralyzer.jpg

edit

Image:Finger eleven paralyzer.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:13, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild sorry [1]

--Kirkoconnell 17:34, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't sound the same to me

--Wil101 22:04, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are you deaf? It is the exact same, even the way they sing the chourse. You have to hear both songs together or one after the other and hear them completely. --Kirkoconnell 13:17, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I listened to them at the same time. Didn't sound the same. --Wil101 14:21, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well besides the begining riff which almost spot on, the course is almost exactly the same as well. --Kirkoconnell 01:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I went to school for music and the first time I heard this song I thought "Take Me Out." I decided to check into your theory as well and I gotta say, you could not be more off unless you were comparing Paralyzer to the theme from "Sesame Street." Youth Gone Wild and Paralyzer sound nothing alike... --Sarahnewyork 11:26, 5 September (UTC)

This song so far sounds like a billion other songs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Motaros (talkcontribs) 06:33, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you get on YouTube and listen to the beginning of Trampled Under Foot by Led Zeppelin, something is similar. It's not a copy of it, they just sound similar at the beginning. Mnoma (talk) 18:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I need to agree with sarahnewyork i hear a similarity with paralyzer and take me out but i think this guy might just be trying to advertise or troll because paralyzer and youth sound nothing alike —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.106.132 (talk) 06:02, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is this notable?

edit

Does the (as yet unsourced) fact that "[t]his song is played during the New York Islanders warm-ups at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum" belong in the article? --zenohockey (talk) 01:47, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

See also?

edit

Why is this here? I don't understand the relevance of that song in relation to this one. It'd be dandy if someone made it clear. If it there isn't one, it should be removed, but I'll wait in case someone wants to try to justify it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.182.10.100 (talk) 18:49, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Move?

edit

I might be alone in this, but I don't think this song is the most notable use of Paralyzer - but I think a disambig page would be more in order. Thoughts? Darquis (talk) 00:42, 26 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Censorship

edit

um the song is not censored as, it's not been fun. That is a later lyrics. I hold out for one more drink, before i think, im looking to desperately. but so far has not been fun, it's been shitty( or shady on the radio edit, if one thing really means one. so i changed that. And if for some reason im wrong about that, sorry and change it back than. --68.35.135.13 (talk) 07:08, 5 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Quagmire toilet" Meme

How exactly would one go about adding information about this into the article without it seeming like a massive joke
